Amazing collection of carts and bar, with covered seating (including heat lamps), and a few (5-6) tables with indoor seating. Come here even in Portland winter! I especially loved that the bartender included two choice cocktails associated with each food cart for “pairings”. What a great idea! We came at 6 on a friday and it was busy but still a free table. When we left around 8, there were a number of open tables.
The quality if the food carts here cannot he exaggerated. Each plate I had was a beautifully composed dish that is guaranteeing I'll be back for more
My favorite beer and food cart spot. Great outdoor seating and plenty of dog water bowls. Indoor is also a great little spot to chill and have a drink. They serve cocktails as well. Also some great vegan options for food at the carts.
I thoroughly enjoyed the expertly prepared classic Kettle one martini accompanied by an awesome double burger topped with a fried egg from Burger Stevens. Next time I am going for the ‘Flaming DR. Pepper.
Hinterlands is nestled between businesses and apartments buildings. It is like a house converted a food cart pod. 5 or so carts are on the north property line. There is outdoor seating in the front and back porch of the “house.” The bar is in the front of the house and indoor seating is in the middle. Matt’s BBQ Tacos seemed the most popular food cart. The place was definitely child and dog friendly.
Some of my favorite food carts AND a bar!?!? Yup! We love this place! Heated and sheltered placed to enjoy your foodcart food. And a great little bar too!
Good carts, nice beverages. Matt's BBQ is awesome but when you don't have 45 minutes to wait for food, Burger Stevens was a delish no-frills alt. option. 8 for a tasty burger with standard fixins. Compare it to McMen's and you'll be amazed by the value, by W. Coast standards, anyway. In Spring/Fall: Please don't waste energy on the heaters when it's 66 degrees out. I mean, c'mon. Let's toughen up Portland... Relaxing venue to chill and write, think about where the world is goin...
Margaritas on draft and Matt’s tacos?! Yes please! This place has an amazing heated patio in both the front and back of this spot and the bartenders are so nice, and they have great food cart options! A regular in our meeting up with friends rotation no matter the seasons!
